Build-a-wheel

January 27, 2011

We’re back from a week in Ohakune where Hubby and Mr 9 had a blast doing summer adventures: Mountain Biking various trails and in the case of Hubby, doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing with his brother. For me and Mr 6, life was a lot more sedate: reading, playstation and cardmaking! My attempts to get ahead on upcoming occasions was a little thwarted when I realised the bag with cutting tools had not been packed…. eeek! A trip to the local bookstore saw me at least kitted with an emergency trimmer!!

Builder wheel stamps make for quick, easy and fun cards. It gives you a chance to mix and match the wheels of your choice in a combination of one, two or three slim wheels thanks to a clever spindle and spacer design that clips into your jumbo handles. Mix that with either a triple-cell cartridge in colours of your choice, or your favourite classic ink pads and your possibilities are endless: total customisation!

I’ve used two wheels here and chosen to separate them with a spacer in the centre.  On top of that, I’ve masked balloons from Party this way in three different colours and popped them up using stampin’ dimensionals to give some extra depth to an otherwise simple card. Perfect for someone I know turning 10 very soon.

These super versatile wheel stamps are in the Summer Mini – pages 14 and 15.  Make sure to pop a two or three wheels and the spindle into your Sale-A-Bration order which can be emailed to me now.

I’ve used……
Stamps: Birthday and Candle Crazy builder wheels, Party this way
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink: Pear Pizazz, Poppy Parade, Marina Mist
Other: Stampin’ Dimensionals
